Ed O'Brien I was a military officer from 1968-1972 but was stationed in Japan. Many of our Maryknoll Group had to join the military even if we did not serve in SE Asia. It was a life altering experience nonetheless. There are more who served in life-giving and life-enhancing roles. They each have very interesting stories to share with us: and they can also give us information about other Maryknollers who served during that Vietnam period. These courageous individuals can offer a window on Vietnam on the ground which the newspapers rarely, if ever, covered.
